Event Description:
This workshop will prepare participants to:
Understand the relevance of human-animal relationships to individual, family, and community well-being.
Identify conditions under which pet-keeping becomes a barrier to service.
Conduct a functional analysis of animals in family systems and pinpoint opportunities to utilize pets in assessment and intervention.
Understand the differences between therapy animals, service animals, and emotional support animals, and evaluate the use of specially selected animals to address client goals.
