Event Description There is a lot of buzz in the media and academe about the “flipped classroom”: The traditional model of delivering lecture in class and sending students away to do homework is “flipped” on its head. Recorded lectures are made available online for students to learn concepts that are easily mastered, freeing up class time for hands-on learning activities and discussions.
In this seminar, a brief overview of this methodology will be given, followed by 1) an overview of the technologies available at NCSU for recording lectures, and 2) ideas for in-class activities, including examples from faculty about how they are engaging students in the classroom. |
Location Information: D.H. Hill Library, East Wing

Admission Information: DELTA workshops and seminars are free of charge to all NC State faculty, staff and graduate students. |
