Upandaji Milima: Reflections on Climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro

Event Description
Fabulous Faculty lecture presented by NCSU Libraries. Dr. Craig Brookins, NC State associate professor of psychology in the public interest, will describe his preparation for and climb of Mt. Kilimanjaro in 2009. ("Upandaji Milima" is the Kiswahili phrase for "climbing mountains.”) Brookins’ photographic narrative provides a colorful accounting of his journey and reflects on the meaning of the mountain in the context of our modern global community.
