Event will take place in the Office of Career Services located on the Macon campus (Student Life Center, suite 254).  This workshop is a part of the Student Success Series.  Attendees who complete at least three workshops by the end of the fall semester will receive a leather portfolio, set of 250 personalized business cards, and a Certificate of Completion.

In September of 1787, the Founding Fathers signed the most influential document in American history: the United States Constitution.

To celebrate, Student Life will host Constitution Day Trivia in the cafeteria during lunch. Between 11 am and 2 pm, you can answer a trivia question, chosen at random from a few hundred that Student Life prepared beforehand, that relate to the Constitution in some way.

 

For each answer you get correct, you will receive one ticket towards a drawing for a $50 MGA Bookstore gift card! So be sure to study up on your Constitution facts to get those tickets! The drawing will be held at the conclusion of the event at 2:00 pm. You do not have to be present to win.

Join the Office of Student Life and Housing & Residence Life as we take a trip to the Center for Civil and Human Rights in Atlanta, Georgia. Transportation will be provided from the Cochran and Macon campuses. More details will follow closer to the date!

The Center for Civil and Human Rights in downtown Atlanta is an engaging cultural attraction that connects the American Civil Rights Movement to today’s Global Human Rights Movements with a purpose to create a safe space for visitors to explore the fundamental rights of all human beings so that they leave inspired and empowered to join the ongoing dialogue about human rights in their communities.

Space is extremely limited for this event!

The first 30 students to register AND turn in their travel documents (included on the registration page) will be eligible to attend. Transportation will be provided. If you are one of the 30 students, you will receive an e-mail detailing time and location pick-ups. We will eat lunch on the way. Please bring your own lunch money.

Attendees must be dressed in business professional attire and it is highly recommended that each job seeker bring a minimum of 20 resumes in a folder or portfolio for easy distribution. Join the Office of Student Life and Career Services as we present workshop 2 of 3 for the fall Student Success Series. We will enjoy a snack while we learn about communication and team work.

Students who attend all three workshops will receive a certificate of completion, a leather portfolio, and personalized business cards at the conclusion of the series!

Be a lifesaver and consider donating blood! The need is always urgent.
Please see Christy Faulk the main lobby (1009) if you would like to sign up for an appointment to donate. Appointments begin at 2pm and run every 15 minutes with the last appointment being at 6:45pm. We can take 3 people per 15 minute time slot. Walk-ins are always welcome!

Join us for an exciting historical interpretation of Bessie Coleman: the first African-American woman to become a licensed airplane pilot and the first African-American to hold an international pilot license. Performance by Dr. Daisy Century, a historical reenactor. She has traveled all over the US portraying figures from history. Dr. Century has published two novels and has appeared in several independent movies in lead roles. Light refreshments will be served.

Join the Office of Student Life and the Office of Housing & Residence Life as we tour iconic locations The Walking Dead is filmed at. We will provide transportation from the Cochran campus and Macon campus, leaving in the morning to stop for lunch and start the tour shortly afterwards.This is a must for all Walking Dead fans!

Space is extremely limited for this event! The first 50 students to register AND turn in their travel documents (included on the registration page) will be eligible to attend. Transportation will be provided and you MUST ride the bus. If you are one of the 50 students, you will receive an e-mail detailing time and location pick-ups. We will eat lunch on the way. Please bring your own lunch money.
