Lanesboro Public Library
Seven free adventures in and around Lanesboro for kids and their families (children 6 years old or under, please bring a favorite adult!). Meet at the Library every Wednesday in June and July at 1 pm (except July 4).
June 6 Swamp Walk with Eric Thiss Discover what lurks in the depths of the Bass Pond. Prepare to be wet and muddy - please wear water shoes and bring dry clothes.
June 13 Real Burro Power Your favorite administrators give the inside scoop on how our school runs.
June 20 Lanesboro History Museum and Beyond
June 27 Lanesboro is All Business Visit the bank, the Post Office, Retail Stores, and Restaurants. Learn how to follow the money.
July 4 NO Walkabout. It is the Fourth of July. Take a walk on your own!
July 11 Lanesboro Art Center Sara Decker leads an art adventure, weaving together more threads of our town.
July 18 Journey to Oz Visit Frank Wright's garden, a.k.a. Oz. It's 2 miles east of town on the trail, so bring your bike or be ready to hike and learn about the world's biggest rhubarb patch among other amazing things.
July 25 Root River Primer Blake Coleman instructs us in small boats, moving water, and how to safely enjoy running a river. |
