| ||Whalan Candlelight Ski
5:00 PM - 10:00 PM
The Annual Whalan Candlelight Ski, sponsored by the MN Department of Natural Resources and the Village of Whalan, is a free event beginning at 5 pm at the newly remodeled Whalan Town Hall. Skiers will need a DNR Ski Pass available at www.dnr.state.mn.us/licenses/skipass/index.html
The beautiful Root River Trail will be lined with candles with bon fires at each end of the ski trek. If we don't have sufficient snow, the event will continue as a Candlelight Hike. Soup supper and refreshments will be available starting at 5 pm at the Whalan Town Hall. Ski rental at Cedar Valley Resort in Whalan 507-467-9000. www.candlelightski.org
