Event Image Becoming an Outdoor Family - Winter Weekend (Multi-Day Event)

Get your family outside for some winter fun!  This weekend will provide families an opportunity to play in the snow and learn lifelong outdoor activities.  Class options include: snowshoeing, ice fishing, cross-country skiing, rock climbing, and treetops high ropes course!  This event is cosponsored by the Minnesota DNR.

Lanesboro Arts Center

Exhibit at Lanesboro Arts Center:  “Carved Mysteries” Linocut Printmaking Incorporating Collage by Lori Biwer-Stewart.  The exhibit will feature finely detailed linocut prints, with titles such as “Caught Up in a Dream” and “Little White Lie” and “Adoration”, ranging in size from 8” x 12” to 16” x 20”.  Beauty, mystery and spirit are the main themes of Lori’s linocut prints, and she often incorporates symbolic images such as birds, keys, and doors which encourage the viewer’s personal interpretation and self-reflection.

A Potiche Painting Valentine Party for kids, Sat. Feb 11th 2-4:30.  We have 2 great projects for them to do, plus get your very own heart shaped pizza.  $20 plus tax (a $30 value) Space is limited, so sign up your little painter today at potiche, or call 467-2929 to reserve your spot.

Ice Fishing Tournament

4th Annual Ice Fishing Tournament in Lanesboro sponsored by the Root River Saloon held at the Lanesboro Bass Pond.

This simple idea of volunteers making a themed meal, tied to a cause, has engaged many individuals in generous giving at all levels, to collectively create a better, more equitable world.

The February 11th dinner will benefit Lanesboro Local in its efforts to strengthen our rural communities by connecting local growers, producers and artisans with local buyers. Of course, delicious local food cooked from scratch will be the centerpiece of our feast!
