| Dinner on the Bluff 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM
Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center
"Revealing the Infinite in the Finite"
Join internationally acclaimed landscape photographer, Craig Blacklock, for an evening filled with wonderful nature images, and learn the step by step thinking that goes into the visualization of each image.
Craig is currently working with the Center For Spirituality and Healing at the University of Minnesota on several projects utilizing nature to promote wellness and stress relief. He will show several of these short nature videos as well as still images from Lake Superior, the BWCAW and the American West, which are aimed at an upcoming book: Rock, Water, Wisdom. He will also discuss two pressing environmental issues: our loss of landscape; and the effects of overpopulation, and how we might, more efficiently address these two issues.
Craig Blacklock is one of the country's leading landscape photographers. His photographs of Lake Superior and the BWCAW are included in many museums, corporate and private collections, including the Mayo Clinic; Walter Reed Hospital; George Eastman House; and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. He recently released his 15th book, and is currently working on a series of nature videos with the University of Minnesota's Center for Spirituality and Healing, where he is a Senior Fellow. You will be seeing some of those shortly. Craig carries on not only his famous father's photography, but also his environmental advocacy, speaking about the landscape, and the effects of overpopulation.
All dinners begin with the presentation at 5:30pm followed by a buffet dinner. |
