Event Description
Roman Baca, artistic director and co-founder of Exit 12 Dance Company, brings his dance troupe to JSC. A part of Exit 12’s mission is to educate, through movement, about the reality of war, knowing “that art heals, and is devoted to serving those who have been touched by conflict by expressing their stories.”
They use movement as a vehicle for social change and a means for promoting cross-cultural understanding, and endeavor to advocate non-violence, instill a sense of power and civic responsibility in their audience members, and cultivate informed social dialogue that transcends the medium of dance. |
