Event Description
Join us for an orientation about the Suncat Savings Challenge program!
This program is a controlled scientific study that offers a matched savings plan called an Individual Development Account (IDA). An IDA is a restricted savings account that is established for a very specific purpose to purchase an asset, such as a home. At CNM, students who have IDAs are assisted in purchasing one of three assets: an education, business or a home. As a participant in the challenge, you could potentially save up to $1000 and have each dollar matched by four dollars. This can result in a total of $5000 that you can use towards one of the three assets.
If you cannot attend an orientation session, please check back next term for another orientation.
At this orientation you will learn more about IDAs, the qualifying criteria for enrolling in the program and the random assignment process.
