SOAR stands for Student Orientation, Advisement, and Registration.  In this New Student Orientation session, you will have the opportunity to meet with an Academic Coach and register for classes*.  By the end of the session, you will have your class schedule for the Fall term.

Additionally, during this orientation, you’ll have the opportunity to meet other new students, get to know the campus, and have some fun! You’ll also learn about all the resources at CNM to help you succeed.

*If you register for classes before this session, do not sign up for this session. Please sign up for a regular orientation session instead.

To register for this session, click the yellow “Register” button above. 

You must register at least 48 business hours before the session begins. 

Please arrive at least 20-30 minutes before your orientation session begins to find parking and check-in.

For this session you MUST have:

-Taken the ACT, SAT, or Accuplacer and submitted your scores to CNM no later than 10 business days before your session.

-Your CNM ID number to sign in & know your CNM user name for the computer lab.

-Logged into your myCNM account at my.cnm.edu and set up your account and password.

-Submitted your OFFICIAL High School transcripts no later than 10 business days before your session.

-Submitted your OFFICIAL dual credit transcripts if you took dual credit classes at another college or university other than CNM. These should be submitted no later than 10 business days before your session.

-Something to write with.

-It is recommended that you wear walking shoes as you will be going on a campus tour.

9:00 AM - 1:00 PM (SOAR) Student Orientation, Advisement, and Registration (Main Campus)

SOAR stands for Student Orientation, Advisement, and Registration.  In this New Student Orientation session, you will have the opportunity to meet with an Academic Coach and register for classes*.  By the end of the session, you will have your class schedule for the Fall term.

Additionally, during this orientation, you’ll have the opportunity to meet other new students, get to know the campus, and have some fun! You’ll also learn about all the resources at CNM to help you succeed.

*If you register for classes before this session, do not sign up for this session. Please sign up for a regular orientation session instead.

You must register at least 48 business hours before the session begins. 

Please arrive at least 20-30 minutes before your orientation session begins to find parking and check-in.

For this session you MUST have:

-Taken the ACT, SAT, or Accuplacer and submitted your scores to CNM no later than 10 business days before your session.

-Your CNM ID number to sign in & know your CNM user name for the computer lab.

-Logged into your myCNM account at my.cnm.edu and set up your account and password.

-Submitted your OFFICIAL High School transcripts no later than 10 business days before your session.

-Submitted your OFFICIAL dual credit transcripts if you took dual credit classes at another college or university other than CNM. These should be submitted no later than 10 business days before your session.

-Something to write with.

-It is recommended that you wear walking shoes as you will be going on a campus tour.

If you arrive more than 15 minutes late to the session, you will have to reschedule for another session.
