The Harvey Girls Are Coming to CNM! Carolyn Meyer, author of DIARY OF A WAITRESS: THE NOT-SO-GLAMOROUS LIFE OF A HARVEY GIRL will be on Montoya Campus April 2nd to share research into the history of the original Harvey Girls. From the 1890s through the 1960s, over 100,000 young women worked as waitresses at Harvey Houses, a chain of restaurants that eventually reached from Kansas City to California. The Harvey Girls helped promote tourism throughout the southwest and brought a new standard of civility and dining to "the Wild West".

Learn About Russian Culture and Politics from UNM Professors at CNM Main Campus

UNM professors Tanya Ivanova-Sullivan and Natasha Kolchevska will discuss Russian culture and politics during a guest speaker lecture series titled “From Russia With(out) Love.” The second lecture – “Contextualizing Culture: Russian Self-Image and Perception of Others” – will focus on how Russians perceive themselves and others, particularly Americans. It will take place April 8 from 3-4 p.m. in Smith Brasher Hall, Room 132.

Young Tom, the seventh son of a seventh son, starts work as an apprentice for the village spook, whose job is to protect ordinary folk from "ghouls, boggarts, and all manner of wicked beasties." This novel was also the basis of the film Seventh Son (2015).

8:00 AM - 8:00 AM Applying the Quality Matters Rubric

The Applying the Quality Matters Rubric (APPQMR) is a workshop the covers the standards that make up Quality Matters Rubric, and how it is used in reviewing the design of online and blended courses. Throughout this workshop you will complete a series of assignments, discussions, quizzes, and surveys. Throughout the workshop as a participant you will collaborate with colleagues and identifying the critical pieces of the rubric by applying the rubric to an online course. This workshop is two weeks in length, and takes approximately 10-12 hours per week to complete.  This training is 100% online and will be taught by Patricia Miera, CNM DL Course Designer, QM Certified Master Reviewer and Trainer.   This course will also be provided through the QM-Moodle site, further instructions will be provided prior to the first day of the course with instructions on logging in. Carolyn Meyer, author of DIARY OF A WAITRESS: THE NOT-SO-GLAMOROUS LIFE OF A HARVEY GIRL will be on Montoya Campus April 2nd to share research into the history of the original Harvey Girls. From the 1890s through the 1960s, over 100,000 young women worked as waitresses at Harvey Houses, a chain of restaurants that eventually reached from Kansas City to California. The Harvey Girls helped promote tourism throughout the southwest and brought a new standard of civility and dining to "the Wild West".

The Harvey Girls Are Coming to CNM! Carolyn Meyer, author of DIARY OF A WAITRESS: THE NOT-SO-GLAMOROUS LIFE OF A HARVEY GIRL will be on Montoya Campus April 2nd to share research into the history of the original Harvey Girls. From the 1890s through the 1960s, over 100,000 young women worked as waitresses at Harvey Houses, a chain of restaurants that eventually reached from Kansas City to California. The Harvey Girls helped promote tourism throughout the southwest and brought a new standard of civility and dining to "the Wild West".

Young Tom, the seventh son of a seventh son, starts work as an apprentice for the village spook, whose job is to protect ordinary folk from "ghouls, boggarts, and all manner of wicked beasties." This novel was also the basis of the film Seventh Son (2015).

The Harvey Girls Are Coming to CNM! Carolyn Meyer, author of DIARY OF A WAITRESS: THE NOT-SO-GLAMOROUS LIFE OF A HARVEY GIRL will be on Montoya Campus April 2nd to share research into the history of the original Harvey Girls. From the 1890s through the 1960s, over 100,000 young women worked as waitresses at Harvey Houses, a chain of restaurants that eventually reached from Kansas City to California. The Harvey Girls helped promote tourism throughout the southwest and brought a new standard of civility and dining to "the Wild West".
