	Documentary Film Screening-Black History Month-Montoya Campus 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Montoya Campus Stop by the Montoya Campus Food Court to learn more about the impressive service of African Americans in the military. This PBS documentary covers history from the Revolutionary War to the present. "For Love of Liberty" is not to be missed!
	Academic Excellence Workshop-Note Taking-Main Campus 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM Main Campus Note Taking – Did you know 80% of what you are asked on a test comes from what your instructor teaches you in class?! For this reason, it is important to understand how to take effective and efficient notes. Come learn some note taking methods that can help you get the most out of your lectures, well as create notes for productive studying.
	Free Flu Shots for Students and Employees- Main Campus 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM Main Campus Walgreens will be visiting CNM campuses next week to provide free flu shots to students and employees. No insurance is required.

	Montoya Campus Speaker Series- Applying for Federal Jobs in Today's Economy 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM Montoya Campus This presentation will focus on the new electronic process the Federal Government uses to announce and fill Federal Government positions. Human Resources Specialist, Jake Archer, will discuss the education requirements and hiring process used by the Federal Government. Student employment opportunities such as the Student Temporary Employment Program (STEP) and Student Career Employment Program (SCEP) will also be discussed.
	Consumer Rights Workshop: Know Your Rights When You Have Debt! 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM Montoya Campus This workshop will provide information on: the good and bad side of student loans, your rights and responsibilities when you owe money, information that sellers, car dealers & financial institutions must tell you during a sale, which sections are enfrorceable in a contract and how to protect yourself financially.

CNM reserves the right to restrict or remove any content that is deemed in violation of this event calendar policy, CNM policy or any applicable law. All event postings shall be moderated by a CNM calendar moderator, who shall review and approve all event submissions for conformance to Acceptable Event standards. Items submitted for consideration to be posted on the calendar shall be reviewed and posted or declined within one (1) week. Postings must contain a name and contact information. All anonymous postings will be declined.
