Test Anxiety and Mindful Self-Compassion Kristin Roush, PhD (SAGE) presenter Tuesday, November 25th 1-2:30 pm Barr Room (SRC, Main Campus) Students with "ptSD" (Pre-test Stress Disorder) are invited to join us to learn how to use Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) to prevent and address Test Anxiety. Relaxation techniques and positive self-talk are a good start. Mindful Self-Compassion picks up where they leave off, as the participant learns to merely notice those feelings and direct an attitude of gentle kindness toward the self, rather than trying to feel differently. Faculty, staff, and students are welcome to attend.

The Applying the Quality Matters Rubric (APPQMR) is a workshop the covers the standards that make up Quality Matters Rubric, and how it is used in reviewing the design of online and blended courses. Throughout this workshop you will complete a series of assignments, discussions, quizzes, and surveys. Throughout the workshop as a participant you will collaborate with colleagues and identifying the critical pieces of the rubric by applying the rubric to an online course. This workshop is two weeks in length, and takes approximately 10-12 hours per week to complete.  This training is 100% online and will be taught by Patricia Miera, CNM DL Course Designer, QM Certified Master Reviewer and Trainer.   This course will also be provided through the QM-Moodle site, further instructions will be provided prior to the first day of the course with instructions on logging in. Test Anxiety and Mindful Self-Compassion Kristin Roush, PhD (SAGE) presenter Tuesday, November 25th 1-2:30 pm Barr Room (SRC, Main Campus) Students with "ptSD" (Pre-test Stress Disorder) are invited to join us to learn how to use Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) to prevent and address Test Anxiety. Relaxation techniques and positive self-talk are a good start. Starting in January, Ignite will take 15 early-stage businesses through a 12 week program on how to accelerate their business to profitability. Through training, mentoring, coaching and support companies will receive over $20,000 worth of business services to accelerate their businesses as well as help them develop a 100-day plan of action for the next level of growth and development. Applications are currently open, and this workshop will focus on what applicants need to know to successfully submit their application by the December 5 deadline.

Test Anxiety and Mindful Self-Compassion Kristin Roush, PhD (SAGE) presenter Tuesday, November 25th 1-2:30 pm Barr Room (SRC, Main Campus) Students with "ptSD" (Pre-test Stress Disorder) are invited to join us to learn how to use Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) to prevent and address Test Anxiety. Relaxation techniques and positive self-talk are a good start. Mindful Self-Compassion picks up where they leave off, as the participant learns to merely notice those feelings and direct an attitude of gentle kindness toward the self, rather than trying to feel differently. Faculty, staff, and students are welcome to attend.

Get ready for your ACS Chemistry Final by taking a mock final. Show up at the start time with a non-graphing calculator and a pencil. Students will be allowed two hours for ~70 questions. Students have the option to get their exam graded on the spot and will receive an answer key that will aid in studying for the real ACS exam.

Test Anxiety and Mindful Self-Compassion Kristin Roush, PhD (SAGE) presenter Tuesday, November 25th 1-2:30 pm Barr Room (SRC, Main Campus) Students with "ptSD" (Pre-test Stress Disorder) are invited to join us to learn how to use Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) to prevent and address Test Anxiety. Relaxation techniques and positive self-talk are a good start. Mindful Self-Compassion picks up where they leave off, as the participant learns to merely notice those feelings and direct an attitude of gentle kindness toward the self, rather than trying to feel differently. Faculty, staff, and students are welcome to attend.
