An interactive workshop for CNM’s undocumented immigrant students and the faculty and staff members who work with them will be held on Thursday, Jan. 26, at 3 p.m. on Main Campus in the Student Resource Center, Room 204. The workshop will be conducted in English and Spanish by staff members of EL CENTRO de Igualdad y Derechos (The Center on Equality and Rights), an Albuquerque-based community organization that works with Latino immigrants. The workshop (approximately 90 minutes) is designed to provide essential tools for communities to defend, strengthen and advance the rights of their communities. All Day College Day (Main Campus)
Come learn about career and technical education and degree programs offered at Central New Mexico Community College.

Give your students the opportunity to learn what it's like to be a college student. College Day at CNM is designed specifically for high school students, enabling them to explore a variety of career pathways.

This year's event features the following:

- Explore College and Career options
- Test drive labs and classrooms
- Engage in interactive, hands-on activities related to college and career fields
- Network with CNM faculty, students, alumni, and local employersMeet the CNM mascot, Sol the Suncat
- Gain valuable information participating in the Student Resource Fair

Tips and Important Information:

- Some events will take place outside. Make sure to wear warm clothes and comfortable shoes.
- Lunch will not be provided, but will be available for purchase. Guests should bring a sack lunch or money to purchase lunch from visiting food trucks.
- In the event that CNM has a delay or is closed due to a snow day, the College Day at CNM event will be cancelled. If College Day at CNM is rescheduled, you will be contacted so we can check on your availability for the rescheduled date.

During this orientation, you will learn important information you need to know to succeed at CNM.  You’ll also have the opportunity to meet other new students, get to know the campus, and have some fun!

To register for this session, click the yellow “Register” button above.  You must register at least 24 hours before the session begins.

Please arrive at least 20-30 minutes before your orientation session begins to find parking and check-in.

If you arrive more than 15 minutes late to the session, you will have to reschedule for another session.

For this session you MUST have:

-Your CNM ID number to sign in & know your CNM user name for the computer lab.

-Logged into your myCNM account at my.cnm.edu and set up your account and password.

-Something to write with.

-It is recommended that you wear walking shoes as you will be going on a campus tour.

Important: When you arrive for your orientation, look for the yellow signs that will guide you to the parking area.  For parking maps and more information, visit www.cnm.edu/nso.

Please note the building location of this event. You must check-in before you go to the classroom where the session will be held. Follow the yellow signs to the check-in table. Our New Student Orientation Leaders will escort you to the classroom, as well as your guests to the separate Friends, Family, and Ally session.

You will be sent a reminder email with important session information during the week of your session. Be sure to check your email!

Individuals are advised to attend an Information Session prior to scheduling an individual appointment or submitting an application. During an Information Session, candidates will obtain vital information regarding licensure requirements, the Program, and the application and screening process. No RSVP is required.
