Event Description Something New And Different (SNAD) Series
Created in 1891, the invention of the Fig Newton is attributed to Charles Roser, who reportedly sold the recipe to the Kennedy Biscuit Works for one million dollars. Named after the nearby Massachusetts town of Newton, Fig Newtons were one of the first commercially baked products in America. They are the 3rd most popular cookie in the U.S.; and, over 1 billion are consumed each year. In honor of National Fig Newton Day, stop by and enjoy a FREE Fig Newton! |
