| Music Scholarship Auditions |
|
Event Description BPCC Performing Arts music scholarship audition dates have been set for the fall 2012 term. Music scholarships at BPCC are full-tuition scholarships; but, do not cover fees or books. Students must have and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.00 and be enrolled as a full-time student to be eligible for a music scholarship. "Concert Band, Concert Choir, and Jazz Ensemble members are eligible for music scholarships and those scholarships are renewable for up to six semesters," stated Dr. Michael D. Hart, Music Program Director. "If tuition rises, so does the scholarship," Hart added. Students do not need to be music majors to receive a music scholarship at BPCC. Students who have participated in their high school music programs typically have the skills that the music program is seeking. Current music scholarship recipients include band and choir members from several area high schools including Airline, Bossier, C.E. Byrd, Benton, Northwood, Haughton and Parkway. To schedule a music scholarship audition date and time or for more information on the BPCC Music Program, contact Dr. Michael Hart. Music scholarships are highly competitive; and, there are a limited number of music scholarships available for the fall 2012 semester. |
