3rd Annual Día de La Familia

Event Description

Día de la Familia is a celebration of family and the community and invites families and community members to the Riverside campus to highlight what ACC offers them. Families gain an appreciation for why college is important and have fun in the process. Neighborhood groups, local agencies, the City of Austin, local high schools, and other community-based organizations will also join ACC in this family event.  

The event, sponsored by ACC s Latino/Latin American Studies Center ( El Centro ), is intended to reach out to the community regarding the benefits of higher education. El Centro is an inter-disciplinary, college-wide center supporting Latino and Mexican American studies. It strives to increase understanding in the ACC and Central Texas communities of the culture, history and contributions of Latinos.
 
The event will take place 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at ACC s Riverside Campus. A sign language interpreter will be available.
