Event Description
The Center for Public Policy & Political Studies (CPPPS) at ACC has been invited to bring ACC students to Texas State University on April 14th to be part of a “Meet & Greet” reception and to attend a lecture on President Lyndon Johnson given by his daughters.
ACC has 70 reserved seats in the lecture. ACC will have buses leave from the district office at Highland Business Center on April 14 at 2:30 pm, and returning to HBC at about 7:00 pm. There will be no cost to the students, but reservations are needed due to the limited number of slots. We are asking students to book their seats by emailing cjackso3@austincc.edu by Thursday, April 9.
Goal
Give students an opportunity to participate in a unique educational opportunity to hear the daughters of Texas first President speak on about him and his achievements. Further, through a fun and interactive program, Texas State University will be introducing students who are interested in completing their studies at a four-year college, to what they have to offer.
This is a once-in-a lifetime opportunity for students to get a unique perspective on the life and work of one of the greatest figures in Texas and national history. It is the Center’s honor to provide this opportunity to ACC students.
